Advice on obtaining the visa:
Abroad, entry and stay visas are issued by diplomatic and consular missions mandated by Ghana (embassies, consulates, honorary consuls). We invite you to contact the Ghanaian embassy in your country for the necessary information.
The estimated time to obtain the visa is eight days, but it is best to initiate the application as soon as you have your ticket.
The list of documents to attach to your visa application is as follows:
• Your passport valid for 6 months after your return date
• Two photos
• A visa application form
• A certificate from your travel agency indicating duration and date of stay
• A certificate of accommodation and letter of invitation (which we will send to you as soon as you register)
We strongly advise you to take a multiple entry tourist visa, this will allow you to re-enter GHANA in case you have returned to your country of origin unexpectedly.
If you are planning to visit another country now, it is easy and often cheaper to apply for the visa on arrival in Ghana.
In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
However, depending on your country of origin, there is a second alternative, which is to take the visa directly to Ghana upon arrival at Accra airport.
A paper will be given to you on your flight to Ghana. A visa for a period of one week will be issued to you at less than $ 50 per week. One of the RBCEH volunteers will then take you to the visa department during your first week on Ghana soil.
If you have any problem obtaining, please feel free to contact us as soon as you can.
